This job aid describes the various visual indicators that can be seen in employee timecards.
Timecard Exception Indicators
The cell is solid red when there is a missed punch. | |
This icon represents an indication of missing time (e.g., late punch, absence, etc.). This indicator does not always impact attendance. | |
This icon represents when a missing time exception is justified. | |
This icon represents when the missing time exception is addressed. | |
This icon will be shown if more than one exception is present. This will reflect the most severe exception. | |
This icon represents an excused absence. This does not always excuse the attendance impact. | |
This icon represents a system generated punch. | |

Timecard Cell Colors
Yellow background | Timecard approved by associate but not by administrator. |
Light purple background | Timecard approved by administrator but not by associate. |
Light Green background | Timecard approved by both the associate and administrator. |
Gray crosshatched background | Timecard has been signed off by payroll. |
Blue background | Totals cannot be edited. |
Black text | Used for all events in the timecard that are not system generated. |
Purple text | System entered text that can be modified. For example, the system entered a paycode for missing time. |
